- BLINGMW - 07-13-2006 is the server visable? I removed the password, try again? 540 521 9084 - PDenbigh - 07-13-2006 still cant' get it to connect. Maybe its becasue I'm behind a router. I set this machine as a DMZ but maybe LFS is picky. Shoot. Maybe next time. - BLINGMW - 07-13-2006 working now, no password. anyone else? - PDenbigh - 07-14-2006 Good time, we need more participants! - BLINGMW - 07-14-2006 maybe we'll try again next week, oh well - ScottyB - 07-14-2006 BLINGMW Wrote:maybe we'll try again next week, oh well i'm in! i just gotta unpack my wheel and stuff - ScottyB - 07-17-2006 ok, my compy is back up, i'll download that file tonight and proceed to fly backwards into the wall
- G.Irish - 07-28-2006 Here's a pretty cool video that's a spoof of the Honda Impossible dream commercial done with Live For Speed The original Honda commercial http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... ible+dream The Live for Speed Spoof http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 2607142761 - HAULN-SS - 07-28-2006 screen shots of tihs would be helpful - ScottyB - 07-28-2006 i'm gonna get my liscense this weekend hopefully. i got my wheel and blingin shizzle all hooked up and ready to go! - G.Irish - 07-29-2006 HAULN-SS Wrote:screen shots of tihs would be helpful http://www.liveforspeed.net/?page=screenshots - BLINGMW - 07-30-2006 ScottyB Wrote:i'm gonna get my liscense this weekend hopefully haha, are you sure you're ready? G, that "commercial" was pretty random, but now I want to go play, so I guess it worked!
- BLINGMW - 07-31-2006 ok, how about this tuesday (tomorrow, 8/1)? Anyone interested? I'll do a demo server again so any unpaid who just want to check it out are welcome. Check out my last post on page one for a setup and a little more info. I'll fire up the server just beffore 8 and be ready to go. Server: MM Test password: MM I might make this a regular tuesday/thursday meet, and hopefully get people hooked so they'll pay for the registered version (something like $45, with no subcription after that) and we can play more tracks. Thoughts? - Ginger - 07-31-2006 I need to get a wheel so I can get in on this... any reccomendations taht won't break the bank? - ScottyB - 07-31-2006 sweet Chan! i got my setup less "drift every single turn and the straighaway too" and more "car is going straight this is cool", so i'm excited! i hope this becomes a weekly thing - REED - 07-31-2006 I have internet at home now so I am in for tomorrow as far as wheels - i have a logitech wingman formula force gp, i dont remeber how much it was, but nothing crazy. It goes without saying that you must get a wheel with force feedback. - BLINGMW - 07-31-2006 asteele2 Wrote:I need to get a wheel so I can get in on this... any reccomendations taht won't break the bank? not really. I bought 5 or 6 cheap and medium priced wheels to test and none of them were worth keeping IMHO. I'm faster and can play longer with my Gravis gamepad. There's plenty of PS2ish controllers like it available for $20-$30 at Best Buy. The only wheel to get is the Logitech Driving Force (something like that) for $100ish, but wheels just wear me out and are too involved for me. The biggest limiting factor with using dual sticks in LFS is that it takes some sacrifice in lock-to-lock steering in order to gain sensitivity. So if I get too sideways, it's not coming back. I can't really "drift" at any appriciable angle without losing sensitivity, and this game doesn't let you get away with being ham-fisted. - ScottyB - 07-31-2006 asteele2 Wrote:I need to get a wheel so I can get in on this... any reccomendations taht won't break the bank? i think i got my logitech wingman formula force GP for maybe 50-60 bucks back in the day. i love it, the pedals don't give you much resistance so you have to get used to that....but otherwise, it's treated me well. - Feersty - 08-01-2006 I will try and participate in this! - REED - 08-01-2006 ScottyB Wrote:asteele2 Wrote:I need to get a wheel so I can get in on this... any reccomendations taht won't break the bank? yeah i wish pedals had more feedback as well, with so little resistence it is hard to "roll on" the gas |
