It was uber fun once again. I drank Fiji water like it was going out of style.

Drove these:

750i
IS350
IS250
RX400h
S550

Well this event is coming up again at FedEx Field. It is September 29th and 30th at FedEx Field. For some reason I never got an email invitation, so I called today and got put on the waiting list. Did anyone else get an invitation last year and not yet get one this year?

I guess I fell through the cracks. Ugh.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that maybe, just maybe you're not their target market?

Understand what you are saying, but it is not like I am going to get any younger, and I think my word of mouth advertisement can go a long way. Hell I brought my friend the first time last year, and he was totally into it. But yeah I don't think I am ever going to be interested in a brand that gets more and more luxurious, while getting heavier and heavier. Which I ultimately blame on the U.S. and its problem with obesity.

Where the HELL do you come up with this stuff?

We want luxery cars because we're fat? WTF?

You don't want luxury cars. I don't want luxury. But they have to get heavier to support people's rotund physiques.

Seriously, Rob, hush.

As a matter of fact, I had a Lexus in mind as my next car.

WebMD Wrote:In people older than 20, both men and women were a little more than 24 pounds heavier than in the early 1960s. By 2002, average weight for men was almost 191 pounds; for women, average weight was 163 pounds.

And weight is a function of desired mass for safety. I, believe it or not, did a study on it.

Oh, and sedan weight is regulated by CAFE. The heaviest vehicles are SUV's. They also have't gotten heavier as a trend... they've maintained weight, for the most part.

They have to get heavier to comply with stricter safety regulations, and market pressure to include more features.

Give it up.

My girlfriend and I are going this weekend. Should be fun.

- Feersty - 10-01-2007

It was fun, I drove the IS350, GS430, LS460, and RX430. It was fun, and I scared my girlfriend in the performance course.

It wasn't all you can eat this time, which kind of sucked. We got there at around 1000am though, so we didn't have to deal with much of a crowd at all. No BMWs or M-B either. In the past I think the competitors were stealing their thunder, as their lines were the longest, when it was supposed to be a Lexus event. hahhaha.

But in a word it was obvious they were trying to cut money in places. Instead of standing in lines you had a card that you placed on a kiosk to reserve a time. The lines for the hybrid cars were long though, but that was it.

Going early to this event is a good thing. I suppose I didn't get a personal invitation this time was because I had done it before and still had not purchased a Lexus, obviously. So there is really no more incentive to send me one, if I just eat the food, but I got put on the waiting list and skirted this so yeah. If I can bring someone new to this I will, but everyone I know has gone. My girlfriend so too scared to drive too Sad
