- ScottyB - 06-24-2004 anything involving a turbo or bike seems to have that effect.....

I got my first ever thumbs up today. - Dave - 06-25-2004 drove the SRT-4 the other day. Not too bad, and would def consider buying it as a cheap DD further down the road. As for the E46, that is the only car (besides MMers) that actually could hang with me out on track at VIR (HPDE 1), so they get my props. I still think they look like butt compared the E36 though, and hence would rather spend the money on a 36 and invest the rest in go fast goodies and other shizzle. - Maengelito - 06-25-2004 Dave Wrote:drove the SRT-4 the other day. And I intend on moving up in the world after the HizzyFizzy as long as the 240 is sorted and ready to go. We all know I got the shaft pretty bad at VIR when it came to instructors. - Evan - 06-25-2004 Dave Wrote:As for the E46, that is the only car (besides MMers) that actually could hang with me out on track at VIR (HPDE 1), so they get my props.only car or only driver ? btw, did you get your credits back from VIR since you got shafted? - Dave - 06-26-2004 heh, thanks for the compliment. I think I can honestly say that being in MM made us faster out on track due to us being more relaxed from not having to deal with all the normal bullshit of a track weekend. and, yeah, I got the credits back - Evan - 06-26-2004 w00t! ![]() free weekend!
- JackoliciousLegs - 06-28-2004 83Rabbit Wrote:Jack... why dont you become 'an informed voter'? You do realize that the neon has ... Go drive one smartieThe reason I was hatin on it was because it's a neon. I don't care how fast it does 0-60. I don't care what type of tires it has... or how big of a wing it has. I'd never EVER buy that car. I just don't like it. period. Yes, it is practical, affordable, quick. I don't care. If someone gave you a giant piece of poop that took you from 0-60 in 2 flat, would you ride it? I'm not equating the neon to poop... just sayin, i wouldn't buy it. Maybe if it costed like 5Gs. I'd probably take a base RSX over one knowing that it would always be slower. - 83Rabbit - 06-28-2004 A giant piece of poop like hhhmmmm a 4 door 83 Rabbit with a different color cabby front end, every brace known to man, autotech hallow sway bars and suspension kit, audi 3a engine with PP head/manifolds, autotech cam with TT springs, european injection, tt cat back with high flow cat and plenty of others.... a car that ran GT mustangs...... Yea, Id drive it. Or a piece of poop like a 16v GLI... yea Id drive it. Because its a neon, doesnt make it crap (although it may not fit your aesthetic tastes).... it just means you have a close-minded view of dodges neon model. And Im sorry for you. - JackoliciousLegs - 06-28-2004 I'd rock a rabbit or a 16v jetta gli. 83Rabbit Wrote:it just means you have a close-minded view of dodges neon model. And Im sorry for you. :lol:not really. I respect the fact that it is indeed fast and can give many more powerful cars a whooping. I wouldn't buy one for the same reason I wouldn't buy an evo. I'm just not impressed with it. an evo is faster than any type of poop and I still wouldn't spend money on it. I'd rock an STi tho. Doesn't mean I don't respect the evo. I'm just not a fan of the HORRENDOUS turbo lag and the high driving position. After driving the evo on an official test drive this weekend, I was relieved to get back in my slower rx7. It's just my opinion. For me to rock a car, price doesn't matter, looks don't matter. Driving experience matters. Character matters. Experiences with the car matters. - 83Rabbit - 06-28-2004 speaking of turbo cars.... Nik has a 337, 180bhp stock, 1.8t (the SLHS nik who had the yellow stang) He brought it to Vals house this weekend and had the following, some cat back system a stage 3 kit on it, kw variants, and a bunch of other motor work. The car is INSANE! On paper its supposed to be pushing just under 290 to the wheels. Whatever its pushing it is the fastest car I have ever driven. Faster than the sti, than the ws6, than the s2k.... The car is down right sick... just felt the need to share that. He scared the crap outta me and made me squeel like a little girl... then got out on hunter mill and told me to drive it I just about pissed myself i  n happiness
- JackoliciousLegs - 06-28-2004 I guess you understand my point of view now. Where does that guy get his money?! It's disgusting. Remember the ferrari we took pics with? I know that wasn't his... but he has had sooo many cars... ugh. - G.Irish - 06-28-2004 JackoliciousLegs Wrote:It's just my opinion. For me to rock a car, price doesn't matter, looks don't matter. Wait, you said you've never driven the Neon so obviously you don't know anything about the driving experience it offers. These Neon comments reek of hatorade. It is fast, cheap, and it doesn't look like the engine will be unreliable. It kind of falls down on the handling so there is valid quibble there, and many don't like the styling or the reputation the Neon has. Still, none can deny it has great value and performance. I can say I would not buy a base RSX over the SRT4. I'd probably opt for neither. - Mike - 06-28-2004 G-money, nobody is knocking the performance value ![]() And yeah, an RSX? You've gotta be kidding me. - JackoliciousLegs - 06-28-2004 I'd also opt for neither. I was just trying to prove that I'd take almost anything over it. And I drove my fair share of neons at crapmax. I know the platform. I know the nasty interior. I know the cheap parts. I guess it's just my o-pin-nnnnion. If I got one for free.. I'd sell it. - .RJ - 06-28-2004 G.Irish Wrote:It kind of falls down on the handling so there is valid quibble there After my ride in one at Lowe's, I thought it would handle pretty well with a LSD. It wasnt really coming up short. - G.Irish - 06-28-2004 .RJ Wrote:G.Irish Wrote:It kind of falls down on the handling so there is valid quibble there More fuel to the fire. |
