Took it for it's maiden voyage and man, is that thing fast. It feels great. The seat's a bit firm for my liking, but the thing is amazing.

Side note.. the chain snapped on my commute earlier today. Definitely not a good sign. I was pissssssed. I walked it back to the shop and they where appalled as well. It was assembled by a different store and shipped complete for me, so it wasn't anyone at my store. They promised to go after the guy that built it and they gave me free SRAM chain (bam $60). They also rechecked all the derailleurs before I went out on my ride. I'm ok with that. Shifts like buttahhhhhhh now.

a $60 chain? i buy nearly the best for my shit and it's only ever like 40... oh, 10 speed?

too much effort.

Everything's 10 now Mikey - IIRC, Campy even introducted an 11 at this year's Tour Smile

Crimony crickets. I don't think I even need 10.

- Mike - 07-16-2008

you don't... i don't even need 9.

Edited for later comments

I'm going on my first long ride with a group this weekend. What do I *need*?
-Saddle pack to hold stuff
-Extra Tube
-Tire pullers
-Little air cannister
-some money
-id
-credit card
-phone
-cliff bar or two
-full water bottle (maybe add a second cage)
-shorts (catch me, fuck me)

Maybe a jersey if there's a good deal. Too much? Anything else?

- .RJ - 07-16-2008

Pack a powerbar in the little bag too. You have 2 water bottles/cages? If so add a 2nd. You definitely want shorts or your boys will be numb pretty quick.

- Evan - 07-16-2008

RJ loves his catchme-fuckme shorts

- .RJ - 07-16-2008

So what you're saying is, you love when I wear them?

- Mike - 07-16-2008

bring a credit card as well. if you're already bringing an id, it's nothing added.

- JackoliciousLegs - 07-16-2008

updated the list.. btw. I'm a skinny bitch and I will look as such in my shorts.

- Mike - 07-16-2008

a multi-tool if you have one, but you can likely rely on someone else having one.

- .RJ - 07-16-2008

Powebars pack easier in those little under seat bags than clif bars do - the downside is they taste like a poop bar.

- Ginger0 - 07-16-2008

If you'd stop riding around in a t shirt, you might not have to pack a power bar that little bag....
