Just an FYI, if this doesn't make it more difficult to choose but...I will pass on my pricing to MMers. Pricing to everyone else will be significantly more.

Re: Project 6.0L Sedan - D_Eclipse9916 - 05-16-2013

I dunno, dave may need to take it all apart, clean the hell out of it...and then just let it sit Wink

Re: Project 6.0L Sedan - Steve85 - 05-16-2013

If there are other options on the list Dave, it's too long.

Hit the nail on the head with this juan. MM definitely needs two LSx swapped beasts roaming the streets.

Love it. That's what I get for threadjacking Smile.

Motor/trans is out of the Donor car. Going to pick up tonight. Got a bajillion texts from the guy as he removed it (owns a shop in Winchester, selling stuff to get more land). So I got some updates photos and a few texts of him not really happy about the decision to let it go. I reminded him it was going to a good home.

Re: Project 6.0L Sedan - JustinG - 05-20-2013

So whats the plan for the shell it came out of? or is the car trashed and the drivetrain was intact?

Re: Project 6.0L Sedan - SlimKlim - 05-20-2013

Muy excellente. Will those longtubes work with the Samberg subframe, or do you need to get some swap-specific headers?

Those photos look like they were shot with a potato.

Will not work.

Picked up the engine/trans last night, stripped it down, and realized I didnt have an engine stand for this motor since my other 2 are occupied. (something is wrong with us car people). Anyway, I picked up this rolling Media center type thing from Booz Allen brand new that they didnt need for free. Ended up working perfectly. Basically a rolling work bench, very heavy duty and rolls smoothly with the engine/trans on it.

Re: Project 6.0L Sedan - Dave - 05-21-2013

Old trash tires are awesome engine supports as well. Then you don't have to rest all the weight on the oil pan...

Re: Project 6.0L Sedan - D_Eclipse9916 - 05-28-2013

^^ Dave yup, but makes it a pain to move around. At least with the LS1 it doesnt seem to be a problem, BMW engines/most 4-cylinders you definitely cannot. Maybe I am wrong Tongue
First of all, I won this ebay auction. It has ebay buyer protection, I searched forever trying to find if the guy was a scammer, and finallly...paid through paypal and used a credit card. This auction comes with EVERYTHING else I needed for the swap (aside from small ancilarries like hoses, and mods like cams/intake). Cheaper than anythiing else I could find by a large margin.

I was in town this weekend for memorial day and had my family over, so there wasnt much free time; but I did get a little clean up done on the LS1s.
First of all, pulled all the stuff I would need from my donor LS1 to the LS1 that I would be using such as knock sensors, Cam/Crank/Oil pressure sensors, and a few brackets. Threw those on the LS1 I would be using. I also pulled off the wiring harness and labeled each connector.

Pulling out the motors to middle of the garage, this stand is awesome!

Tore down and put in the corner the LS1 to be sold

LS1 Intake Manifold for sale as well

Installed sensors and some of the brackets onto LS1 that I will be using.

Came home to find these boxes Smile
[Image: 972029_10101112056995739_723041603_n.jpg]

And what is in these boxes? Vorshlag's Stage 0 kit!
[Image: 425356_10101112143721939_1941456603_n.jpg]

The headers are done very well, and hopefully with all these parts right here, the swap will be relatively easy! Currently saving up for a mild cam package and LS6 intake. Then the process will begin!
