To tell you quite honestly they really don't care. I simply reported it to have the crime analyst realize where crime is happening. The cost of stake out for something this insignificant is realively high. I need to rely on a safe environment or neighbors that actually watch the 'hood in the middle of the night.

the only thing they can really take at this point is the suspension, which i am afraid of. I would like to get the wheels on it asap and move it to a safer location, which i will do when i get the time - i'm going to have to make some. Everything else on or in the car is worthless IMO with regards to aftermarket stuff - there isn't anything aftermarket except for the suspension components.

I don't know what it is with people and just taking cars. Someone tried to steal my roommate's girlfriend's beat up honda accord with no mods from Calhouns a week or so ago. :?
You can use any force thats not deadly to defend the car...I assume this means beanbag guns and lots of other fun things as well

In all seriousness though Jay I hope you can get the car moved before anything else happens to it.

ooooOOoooo beanbag guns. Now those are fun!

here is the catch with bean bag guns. they can charge people with "attempted murder" if the person being shot "thinks" they are going to die.

so you have to be just as careful in how you do things with a bean bag gun... even if it not deadly force. i spent a little time in criminal justices classes... it kinda freaked me out too....

just like firing a warning shot... that can be considered attempted murder as well. Smile

Thats really good to know. Is there a lot of crime as far as car brake-ins on campus? The only think I will KINDA worry about with the Tona' will be the aftermarket gauges....but I don't really think people have the time for that little stuff. OEM Infinity radio will keep the crooks disinterested.

just buy a huge dog that doesnt run away and have him sleep in your car at night with the windows down.

that's easy, don't let them see you Big Grin. They can't think they are going to die if they are laying on the ground in pain when you run up and ask them if they are ok and if they got the plates from that car that just shot at them . Then you kick them while they are stammering when you ask why they are in your car.
