I don't suppose anyone wants a FOUR cyl Honda Element? - BLINGMW - 02-05-2015 It's an '03, looks like this except dirtier: ![]() The cool thing is it's 2wd, 5spd, factory subwoofer, has a tow hitch and gets 26-28 mpg. The not cool thing is that it suddenly lost commpression on cyl 1 and it's not a rocker or something visible under the valve cover. I'm not inclined to pull the head or pay someone else to, anyone want it as-is? Still runs but I wouldn't recommend driving it super far. Re: I don't suppose anyone wants a 3 cyl Honda Element? - Senor_Taylor - 02-05-2015 For free? How kind of you. Re: I don't suppose anyone wants a 3 cyl Honda Element? - .RJ - 02-05-2015 how many cases of red bull will it hold? Re: I don't suppose anyone wants a 3 cyl Honda Element? - BLINGMW - 02-05-2015 Senor_Taylor Wrote:For free? How kind of you.I just haven't figured out how many cases of PBR it's worth yet. It can hold more red bull or PBR than it's worth, that's for sure Re: I don't suppose anyone wants a 3 cyl Honda Element? - CaptainHenreh - 02-05-2015 Um, how much. #realtalk. Re: I don't suppose anyone wants a 3 cyl Honda Element? - Evan - 02-05-2015 my mom really misses hers, might be a fun project to get running. roanoke would probably be considered 'super far' though Re: I don't suppose anyone wants a 3 cyl Honda Element? - xvxax - 02-05-2015 I might be interested. Re: I don't suppose anyone wants a 3 cyl Honda Element? - Sully - 02-06-2015 I think everyone is interested if it's cheap enough lol. Re: I don't suppose anyone wants a 3 cyl Honda Element? - ispoonwithmugen - 02-06-2015 ^that haha Re: I don't suppose anyone wants a 3 cyl Honda Element? - SlimKlim - 02-06-2015 Collective MM flip? We all buy in, one lucky person actually has to fix it and sell it so they get a weighted return, the rest of the investors split the remaining profits? Re: I don't suppose anyone wants a 3 cyl Honda Element? - BLINGMW - 02-06-2015 you guys are great. I haven't seen so much love for the E in my life. Looks like my coworker is taking it off my hands for $1200, so unless that falls through today I guess it's gone. I kind of hate to see it go, but hey, I'm sure a 325i isn't any worse of a tow vehicle... ? :dunno: Re: I don't suppose anyone wants a 3 cyl Honda Element? - Jake - 02-06-2015 So what car(s) do you guys have, then? Just the E46? I have a friend selling a 335d. Just sayin. Re: I don't suppose anyone wants a 3 cyl Honda Element? - BLINGMW - 02-06-2015 The E46, and it looks like we're picking up a barely used Passat TDI 6spd today which *I hope* will deal elegantly with the 22k+ miles Jess puts on it per year. And should be great for family vacation time. It sure seems like a really nice car and trunk space is at least 3 dead hookers. :dunno: Others considered: Golf, Impreza wagon, both really pushing it on utility/interior room. CX5, Forester, not sexy enough as best as I cen define, and rear seat room pales in comparison to the Passat. None of them sound, feel, and drive as nicely as the Passat. You guys have like, 5 hours to talk me out of it  Re: I don't suppose anyone wants a 3 cyl Honda Element? - SlimKlim - 02-06-2015 Did you look at the new TDI Golf? It's a bit bigger than the MKVI, I don't know if that translates into more usable space, but it seems like a nice little car. The saloon won out in style and passenger space over the hatch. Well, and availability/price is part of it. If there had been a like-new 6spd golf TDI with 15k on the clock sitting there.... well there isn't a new or used one anywhere nearby and we don't have months to wait to order a new one. Re: I don't suppose anyone wants a 3 cyl Honda Element? - .RJ - 02-06-2015 Oh boy, Chan is buying a VW. I feel like this is crossing the streams. Re: I don't suppose anyone wants a 3 cyl Honda Element? - BLINGMW - 02-06-2015 And it has a... war and tee? Something like that. I wasn't familiar with it, salesman had to explain. Apparently it stops german cars from having to be worked on by me, for some period of time. Who knew! Re: I don't suppose anyone wants a 3 cyl Honda Element? - SlimKlim - 02-06-2015 There are 19 2015 stickshift TDIs at the VW dealer near my house from rental spec editions to $30k SEL pimp wagons. If you tell me what color you want I'll go pick it up. ![]() Is this the Passat you were looking at? http://worldautocertified.com/vehicle/1VWBN7A3XDC075091-2013-Volkswagen-Passat-TDI-SE/ If the bigger interior is a better fit for the fam I'm sure it'll be a nice car, but the Golf starts at like $1k more, and it's on the new MBQ platform will definitely be a lot more enjoyable to drive than the China-and-America-Only Passatboat. Re: I don't suppose anyone wants a 3 cyl Honda Element? - BLINGMW - 02-06-2015 SlimKlim Wrote:PassatboatIt is a white whale. I'll call it Moby. You did find the one we're looking at. Good points on the Golf and yeah looks like Fairfax is the place to be for those! If the Golf or Jetta Wagon had more rear seat room, they might have it. This car is replacing an Element though (asking a bit much of a car), so even the Passat is already a step down in size and two steps down in utility. I brought home a wood stove on a pallet in the E. You should have seen the sales and forklift guy looking at me like I was crazy. "We've tried small SUVs before, it won't fit" "Give me that tape measure. DO IT" I'll just have to use my utility trailer a lot more.
