Spring Car Show 2017 Planning Thread - Senor_Taylor - 01-06-2017 Okie dokie, it's that time of year. Ray and I have decided on April 2nd for the Verona Autocross putting the car show on April 1st. Once the school year gets started, I'll look into getting C4 reserved. This is a good time to start thinking of any groups and businesses that any of you may want to shoot a message to. Businesses I definitely plan to contact: Steven Toyota - Food/Sponsor Tarmac - Trophies Advance Auto - Prizes Cracker Barrel - Prizes NASA - Equipment Things to buy for the show: EZ Up - Already bought PA system - James has a guy he's going to ask for advice on this Rough schedule 9 - 2 PM, cruise at 4, dinner at 6, party at my place at 8-9 until the wee hours of the night Autocross in Verona the next day Any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated Re: Spring Car Show 2017 Planning Thread - rherold9 - 01-06-2017 Read previous car show threads to get a reminder about the ways people got butthurt. Prepare thy angus. Then try to do it better. Other than that you'll be fine. Students always volunteer to do things if needed. Edit: at least they volunteered every year I was in school. Kenny and I have been talking a lot, he tracks his NB, so I can see if he'd be interested. Re: Spring Car Show 2017 Planning Thread - *insertusernamehere* - 01-11-2017 We'll have to rename him 911 GT3 RS Fitzpatrick. Re: Spring Car Show 2017 Planning Thread - Senor_Taylor - 01-11-2017 No, the prize for best in show gets to name the kid. Re: Spring Car Show 2017 Planning Thread - *insertusernamehere* - 03-15-2017 Man I love this years flyer. So hawt.
Re: Spring Car Show 2017 Planning Thread - Beej - 03-15-2017 That flyer is dope, and not just because it's an e46 M front and centerish. I'm equal parts proud and ashamed that I don't know how to scan those those QR things. Re: Spring Car Show 2017 Planning Thread - JPolen01 - 03-15-2017 Don't feel bad about the QR codes. They never really caught on. It's too much of hassle to have a separate app to scan those. I thought it was really cool when they first started coming out but then the cool factor wore off. There was originally no information on there except for the QR codes and I had to get him to add them. I wish there was more information in general, but then it gets cluttered. |
