I-AA Playoffs - Feersty - 11-21-2004 I just got back from the press conference in the College Center where the I-AA playoff teams were selected. We received an at large bid. The other teams in our conference that made it were New Hampshire, Delaware, and William & Mary. We are matched up against Lehigh, and our team will have to travel to Bethelem, PA. Mickey Matthews was saying during the press conference that the fans up there are brutal and that they sell out every home game. So if you want to get tickets he said to get them as soon as possible. I hope the Dukes will prevail. A good chunk of the I-AA playoffs will be on ESPN family of networks, so we should give the team as much support as possible. - Mike - 11-21-2004 whoa whoa whoa... why is this game not at home? jmu is ranked higher than lehigh... - Feersty - 11-21-2004 I think that the selection committee is looking at the money making aspect of it. Lehigh has suprising good attendance at their home games the last 4 years, so they hope to capitalize on this, because the records of JMU and Lehigh are similar. - Evan - 11-21-2004 Feersty Wrote:I think that the selection committee is looking at the money making aspect of it.and people call college sports "pure" go dukes - bassmangrammy - 11-22-2004 Feersty Wrote:I think that the selection committee is looking at the money making aspect of it. F W&M for messing the A10 up. - Fyrfytr - 11-22-2004 Go Dukes! Glad to see the football team doing well. I just wish it could have happened when my ex-g/f was in school there. It would have made the weekend trips down there even more worthwhile. - Dragon - 11-22-2004 JMU has football?
