My integra got broken into last night. This shit is pissing me off. They took my shit-tacular alpine radio (i was going to sell it for $30 to Adam) that came with the car and in the attempt to steal the car they mutilated the steering column and ignition. Fucking idiot theives. They took my XM radio reciever as well, which was also in the car, and also took the wheel lock key. For the most part the only thing i cared about what they took was the reciever for the XM radio. I was planning on getting rid of the headunit and sell it to Adam, but i guess that's out of the plans.
I'm also reconsidering keeping the car. It seems like the honda civic / acura integra group of cars is disgusting me a little bit. The damn "theives" did nothing but vandilize the damn car, make it unusable - and now i have to get a different steering column and key to start the car. Now it'll be more like an old ford -- one key to enter and one to start -- retarded. I hate this area.
I'm also thinking of two options -- keep selling the civic and sell the acura and buy something newer and not as thief-magnitized or trade in both, still paying off the acura loan to my mom, and getting a newer car. All the while keeping the Gti as a track car in the near future after a few minor mods. What do you guys think? (god i hate this place)

Sorry to hear Jray. Im gonna have to go with sell them both and buy something newer and less stolen. Im afraid of my hatch being stolen, so much that Im already accepting it as fate that it will one day be taken. I think you're probably better off just steering clear of acura/honda; I know thats what I will do if mine is ever gone.

Yeah I honestly can't recommend Integras or Si's in NOVA anymore. Maybe a Lude would be okay but even then.

sorry Jay, that's some bullshit. i had a dark feeling this kind of thing might happen again after your Si was jacked, but i didn't think it would be so soon.
i guess unless you move out or buy/rig up some security measures (kill switch, alarm, removable steering wheel) then drop that car like its hot. there are other options you'll enjoy that won't be such a theif magnet.

I know the feeling when your car gets vandalized... it sucks so hard.

jesus, that is ridiculous. I think you should keep the teg and the dub, and simply move somewhere that you don't have to worry about your car getting stolen every other night. Seriously, it is getting to the point that it isn't even worth living there even if it is rent free.
