Thanks. The M coupe is crazy. It is a love it or hate it car. But once driven, you would change your mind.

oh yeah... there is a guy on here feersty who will ask you how you have two cars... pay no attention to him.

- Chris - 09-20-2005

wow very nice, I've always loved the M coupes. Its rare to see one esp. in that gray color.

Question, was it 2000 or 2001 when they put the E34 M3 engine into the roadsters and coupes and it was rated at 315 because of something with the exhaust limiting it from 333hp?

Will you bring either car to the burg when you start?

- Nick325is - 09-20-2005

In 2000 and before they had the 240hp m3 motor in the mroadster and coupe. From 2001 on they were 333hp motors.

Its a little bit of envy, so sue me.

Nice cars...how's insurance?

WAHHHH??!?!!! OMG your coming here? Do you recognize me from Novastreetforums.com? Youll love JMU dude. I never want to leave college muhahah

- Nick325is - 09-20-2005

On another note the Mroadster after 2000 with the s54 had a rev limit of 7600 instead on the 8000rpm on the m3s. Perhaps this is why the mroadsters and coupes haven't had any problems with the rod bearing failure like the m3s have.

Nick

- MpoweredM - 09-20-2005

Nick, you are close on both your repsonses. Yes, the 99 and 00 M coupes have the E36 S52 m3 engine. 240hp. The 01-02 M coupes got the S54 M3 engine 315HP. Reason behind this I am assuming, have never read, is because of the shorter exhaust and prolly different cams. My e46 revs to 8100rpms.

Mike, I get asked plenty of questions like that. And hated on even more.

D-Eclipse, I do recognize the name yes. I was down there sunday and love the ladies. Big Grin

Insurance sucks.

Chris, my bodystyle M3 is E46 Big Grin. The older style was E36. I hope to be getting a house once I get accepted and I ultimetly decide JMU is where I want to go to finish off school. I don't have a lot of time for school so it is a slow process. If I do get the house, I will make sure to have a two car garage. But most likely I will have some sort of truck, and then the M3. But who knows what I will decide.

- christo - 09-20-2005

wow. baller. you don't happen to live in the oakton/fairfax area do you? houses look familiar.

- Nis01 - 09-20-2005

Some beautiful rides... the M3 was done very tastefully and looks incredible. Awesome job. Oh and by the way... If you get a two person garage, need a roomate?
