Forum Guidelines? - Mike - 10-04-2005
As a collegiate club, it is our duty to uphold the high moral standard of our university (haha yeah right).
Anyway, some folks would like to see some guidelines put in to place to ensure the forum is not filtered by work firewalls. The best way I could figure it to use the parental advisory rating system we already have in the US
This is just to get an idea on everyone's thoughts and by no means an attack on any one person or any one avatar. We have been discussing this issue in private for quite some time now.
After the votes are tallied the officers and alumni will be discussing the results and you should be presented with some forum guidelines shortly thereafter.

although i voted and could leave it at that, i'd like to say that i think as long as R or X material is posted as a link (not a picture) and noted as not-work-safe, that is probably sufficient.
i also think avatars should be posted with "good judgement", since they are always seen.

just as long as the language stays in the body of the thread. If i'm ever crusing on the forums at work i know i don't like to see a rediculous title. As for the newcomers, wouldn't want to deter people just because of one persons language or courtesy.
