What do the techies think of this suspension?
Koni Yellow Struts + Eibach Prokit

Have at it!

- .RJ - 05-01-2004

Good street setup, but those Eibach springs are going to be really soft for autox or track, FWIW.

- JackoliciousLegs - 05-01-2004

They are going to be REALLY soft? What is a plausible alternative that would be a more street/track alternative, or is there one?

- Mike - 05-01-2004

koni yellows, ground control coilover setup, ground control custom rate springs (around 400lb/in would be good).

- ScottyB - 05-01-2004

i rode in RJ's old integra peice when he had something like 800 lb/in springs in the rear and it actually felt quite tolerable on the street

- Mike - 05-01-2004

you need revalved konis to run 800lb/in though.

bah.

Audi TT that I instructed last weekend had that setup, along with a bigger rear bar. Handled very good.
Maengs Integra has Eibachs and a rear bar. Handles very good.

Super stiff spring rates are not necessary for good handling.

A dedicated race setup is a different story, but last I heard, Jack-o hasnt even come close to a real race track.

I think he went to VIR last year Tongue

unless that street is the pa turnpike for several hours. my spine felt like jello after that.

my integra does indeed have the prokit, 150k mi busted ass oem shocks and the fatter type r rear sway. i think the r bar did much more than the prokit did to reduce understeer. i've got a set of ground control sleeves and springs in a box waiting for koni yellows to match up with.

I'm asking because after this summer, I'm gonna have some decisions to make regarding the 2nd gen. We'll see what happens...

- Dave - 05-03-2004

i got eibachs on the IV, and it handles quite well if you ask me

- JackoliciousLegs - 05-03-2004

May do brakes before suspension. We'll see.

- .RJ - 05-03-2004

Pads and fluid.

Add shocks.

Hit the track.

- WideAssBimmaaa - 05-16-2004

GC ownz...but they're not progressive springs, right?

- .RJ - 05-16-2004

nope

- JackoliciousLegs - 05-16-2004

How much difference does fluid make?

- Mike - 05-17-2004

It won't boil.

- Evan - 05-17-2004

and compressability
