WTB intake throttle valve actuator for e36 bimmer - EuphoriousCntrl - 09-13-2006

yea, so mine is a piece and is acting up setting off my asc light and spazing the throttle valve (intake). anyone have a parts car lying around or know where I can pick one up?

you're talking about the actuator for the traction control TB right? Honestly, as pathetic as the TC on E36s is, just take that whole TB off and replace the boot with one from a non-TC car.

thats what I have been prefering to do... more cost effective anyway. so while you're here, can I ask if you have one laying around? haha.

this is basically what i have seen but the problem is i dont see anything offered for my 4cyl 318i. i would think this would be the same?...

I've never look at the TC system on a M42/44, but lets!

looks very similar. Tear out your crap, replace with part #3 there from a non-TC 318 and you're done. I'm sure the TC light will stay light like it did on my 325, if it bothers you, pull the bulb. I don't think it'll cause any other problems.

now the problem is finding a dumped non-tc 318 or available donor

no point in getting a used boot. They all eventually tear. Should be ~$25 from dealer. I'm sure Bimmerworld, Pelican, or anyone could get it for you.
