Car Guys August 4-5 VIR Full Course - Chris - 06-18-2007
I registered today and when I called last week there were still spots open. I also reserved a hotel room at the Best Western in South Boston. If anyone else signs up, I'll have space in the room if you want to chip in some. I've done one event with Car Guys before and its a well run group. You pay a bit more, but there is a lot more track time since there are no race groups throughout the weekend. Anyone else interested??

haha, when I read this I thought you were saying the event was FULL, I was like DAMN he actually FILLED an event
CarGuys is a great group to run with, they are usually only 1/2 full so you get TONS of track time, if you can use it.

We can check that out but their rates go as the year progresses. VIR-N in July would cost 140 a night which is too much.

Oh I just called a couple places in S. Boston and this one was $79 a night. I don't care where we stay, just was looking for something cheap if I was paying it on my own.

If you work Friday,, you'll get double credit for that day.... so if you work all 3 days you earned a free track weekend. The only downside is that its africa hot at VIR in august - bring shade, a cooler and a case of water.

just got into Danville tonight and took the car over to the track and unloaded. towing the car is much better than driving 6+ hours in a race seat!
the paddock was pretty empty tonight, mostly expensive Porsches. I'll try and update tomorrow night and let you know how the weekend is going!
