I know this might be dumb, but how do i add a picture and change that stupid headliner tag thing that says stripped nut?

- WRXtranceformed - 02-08-2008

You need to post more! It will automatically change to different titles once you reach certain milestones. You can't really personalize your tag unless you're a moderator or unless a mod decides to do it for you Wink

As far as adding an avatar, click on Profile at the top of your page and you should be able to change it from there.

ok, how do i change that? is it just a link to a picture on the web?

- Sijray21 - 02-08-2008

yeah, you can reference a picture from a website

the other option is to choose a picture in the MM gallery as your avatar

(mods - can you move this to Site Suggestions/Status?)

Yup, click on "Profile" at the top and then "Avatar Control Panel." You can choose a picture that you or someone else has hosted on the web. It has to fit the size requirements stated there though, so you may need to do some cropping and resizing if you're importing one of your own pics like of your car or something.

BALLIN! thanks guys.

- WRXtranceformed - 02-08-2008

Looks good!

- balactm - 02-08-2008

is this too big? i know it says 80x80 but that's freakin small. and this picture is ballin beyond belief. unless someone can walk me through resizing it and then putting it back up smaller?????

- ViPER1313 - 02-08-2008

yes, that is a bit too big. Upload it to <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://imageshack.us/">http://imageshack.us/</a><!-- m --> and tell it to resize the picture to Avatar size. Then use the direct link provided to upload it here.

BALLIN!!!!! great advice, thanks!

speaking of which.... have we ever stated a width and height limit on avatars? I kind of wish we would. 100px wide seems like plenty. I mean, if one person is going to have 112 or 157 wide or something, we might as well all do it.

Heck, have we even made our "no pics in sigs" position official? Written somewhere? Is there any limit to lines of text in sigs?

- Jeff - 02-09-2008

I think 160 is the width limit on avatars. The no-sig-pics is stated above the sig box in the profile setup. The sig automatically limits lines of text.

- Sijray21 - 02-09-2008

rofl - hilarious avatar

- Feersty - 02-10-2008

Concerning avatars, its seems whatever Feersty has at the time, is probably not allowed. Wink

ah, excellent :!:

*edit* haha... I just checked to see in my profile, and the text beside the avatar is like "width of 80, height of 80, no more than 20kb... blah blah". So much for that!

And yes, Rob, you're totally busted. Tongue
