Nova Ride - Sun AM, April 5 - Apoc - 04-03-2009
I finally got the sportbike out of storage and I'd like to get some time in this weekend. I have class all day Saturday and have a Caps game Sunday afternoon so I'll probably do a loop somewhere in Loudoun Co from 10am-1pm. I don't really even know who has a running street bike at this point but I thought I'd throw it out there. Chime in if you're interested and we can work out a meet up.

Keep planning these. I will eventually get the motivation to get back out there be it sell the pile as it sits and get something easier/cheaper to repair or fix the fucking thing.

i do have a list. they don't exist except for shiny and new from bikebandit. the subtotal is $651. after that, i need a windscreen, but i know where to get that. then i need new tires. and a new helmet. it's just a matter of wanting to plop down over a grand on the thing.

well i'll be damned. stumbled over to the vfr forum and some guy just yesterday posted up a lot of stuff i needed for dirty cheap! i'll admit i haven't been looking hard for six months or so now, but for a solid year nothing like this was ever posted.
if i get what he has, i'm looking at a much cheaper repair bill. tires, helmet, windscreen, and a bunch of little screws are all i'll really need.
oh and then i have to get it running. despite being on a charger all winter, apparently the battery died. fucking thing.

Dont forget your carbs...
Brakes on my 750 are almost sorted, so I'll have that on the road soon for slow rides, maybe with bobo chrome.

seriously, fuck this thing. i now understand why people have bikes sit in their garages FOREVER. in 2094 when i finally finish putting it back together, i'll get rich off my 7k mile 1994 VFR750F.
