2010 Feast of Alvis Turducken party - *date moved* - Jan 30 - .RJ - 10-27-2009

After a short hiatus we are back in business for yet another epic MM showdown. Who's in, and who's bringing what?

This is where it all goes down: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=409+hillwood+ave+22046&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=38.826758,93.076172&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=409+Hillwood+Ave,+Falls+Church,+Virginia+22046&z=16">http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=409+hillwood+ave+22046&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=38.826758,93.076172&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=409+Hillwood+Ave,+Falls+Church,+Virginia+22046&z=16</a><!-- m -->

Rex is going to bring teh slushie machine. This means long island slushies
Kaan is going to make some sort of bacon and pork product concoction.
Evan is on the hook for chili.
I demand Chapin makes several layer dip.

I'll order the bird, buy supplies for margarita and long island slushies, and probably make some roasted sweet potatoes.

If the headcount is high enough then I'll get a small keg, or y'all can just bring 6/12 packs of good beer. And by good beer I mean "not a 30 pack of miller high life". It should arrive in glass containers, not bottled by Anheuser-Busch or Coors...

Now drink with me deeply of the bourbon, scotch, and rye until such time as we are fighting drunk. Then we shall find, and beat the asses of, the nonbelievers who ruined my feast.

Re: Turducken!!!!!!!!11!1!1one111!! - Goodspeed - 10-27-2009

The 12th is JMU December graduation IIRC, so obviously I won't be in. The 19th would be ballin', I'd def. try to make it then.

Re: Turducken!!!!!!!!11!1!1one111!! - Dragon - 10-27-2009

Don't know of anything going on either date at this point, so I'll just put my vote in for the 19th since that's the one you like. I can come up with a side or two, or some sort of dessert(s).

Re: Turducken!!!!!!!!11!1!1one111!! - .RJ - 10-27-2009

Also - for anyone coming in from out of town we have 3 couches and plenty of floor space.

Re: Turducken!!!!!!!!11!1!1one111!! - JohnC - 10-27-2009

19th should work for us. Looking forward to it!

Re: Turducken!!!!!!!!11!1!1one111!! - Evan - 10-27-2009

Im in, either date works for me but the 12th makes more sense to me since people may be travelling for the holidays the week of xmas.

Ill bring some boostrot, and ive got a couple gallons of homebrew cider that should be nicely aged.

Re: Turducken!!!!!!!!11!1!1one111!! - BLINGMW - 10-28-2009

Re: Turducken!!!!!!!!11!1!1one111!! - .RJ - 10-28-2009

Are you bringing teh slushies?

Re: Turducken!!!!!!!!11!1!1one111!! - Maengelito - 10-28-2009

I voted for the 12th because I can't do the 19th... sounds like its time for two turduckens

Re: Turducken!!!!!!!!11!1!1one111!! - JustinG - 10-28-2009

12th sounds good since the 18th is my BDAY, and usually the family wants to do stuff with me that day/weekend for some reason.

Yeah, 'cause choosing the last day of grad school over boozie slushies is the epitome of fail.

We have to have a date before he can find out about the slushies. It gets checked out in Outlook like a meeting, so you have set a date first. We basically can do either date, I just said the 19th cause it looked like more people could do the 19th.
