Re: Drive Safe - Evan - 03-09-2010 tax collectors with a gun and an ego. ffx po-po also likes to stand by the ramp onto Roosevelt Bridge in Arlington and pick people out for sticker / registration tickets. I should probably get my inspection up to date..... Re: Drive Safe - Mike - 03-09-2010 Evan Wrote:ffx po-po also likes to stand by the ramp onto Roosevelt Bridge in Arlington and pick people out for sticker / registration tickets. arlington po-po you mean? they are infinitely better than ffx po-po regarding actual traffic violations, but yeah, they'll hit you for expired stuff all over the place. Re: Drive Safe - G.Irish - 03-09-2010 Yeah I saw some cops staking out one of the off-ramps near Springfield yesterday and last Thursday. Oddly enough there were a TON of cops on 70/76 on Sunday too. I must've seen at least 8 of them on my way to 7 Springs. Need to get the Tundra's inspection done pronto I guess... Re: Drive Safe - Apoc - 03-09-2010 If anyone is so inclined. http://www.trapster.com/ Re: Drive Safe - WRXtranceformed - 03-09-2010 Lol @ VA. Any time I visit I always make sure to drive only at like 5 over max. Although I've seen people pulled over, NC is far less strict especially on interstates where the speed limit is already 70mph. Re: Drive Safe - Ryan T - 03-09-2010 Cops around here go by the 9 your fine, 10 your mine. Re: Drive Safe - V1GiLaNtE - 03-09-2010 I saw an assload of cop on 95 south on saturday on the way to Myrtle Beach... ironcially right after the Va/Nc border I saw no cops... Re: Drive Safe - D_Eclipse9916 - 03-09-2010 So glad I am not rolling around in the eclipse anymore. M3 gets no attention, knock on wood. Im also gone every weekend and only drive a route that cops are never on during the weekdays for work. For times that im not, lexus has done great, woo for old person vehicle. Re: Drive Safe - NTIman - 03-09-2010 Definitely saw 8 cops between radford and winchester on 81 sunday night Re: Drive Safe - TorinoCobra070 - 03-09-2010 I can verify the insane amount of police. We saw a ton of state troopers on 81 Saturday. It was ridiculous. Re: Drive Safe - Jake - 03-09-2010 TorinoCobra070 Wrote:I can verify the insane amount of police. We saw a ton of state troopers on 81 Saturday. It was ridiculous. I think we counted something like 11 or 12 state troopers on 81, including one in a red (!?) unmarked Tahoe who had pulled someone over. That was going from Harrisonburg to Buena Vista area. The article Wrote:Driving as little as 10 to 15 MPH over the limit can qualify for this enhanced punishment.Pretty sure reckless is 20 mph over, or anything above 80. Re: Drive Safe - Goodspeed - 03-09-2010 I saw three staties in between 245 and 243 on 81 the other day, 2 with people pulled over. Evan Wrote:tax collectors with a gun and an ego. Recently read this op-ed :? Quote:"When I was a "police officer" back in the early '70s the transformation was just starting to take place from a mentality of a public servant working for the citizens to "law enforcement". The first I noticed of it was when the police departments started preferential hiring of ex-military people returning from Viet Nam. They started introducing military tactics into the department, including the first S.W.A.T. team. They quit referring to people on the street as citizens and started calling them "civilians", or more commonly "assholes". It's usually pretty accurate in my area, but someone has to be the first one to report a trap. Ryan T Wrote:Cops around here go by the 9 your fine, 10 your mine. Cops 'round dem parts have shitty grammar.
