Dating

HAULN-SS Wrote:So, after skepticizing about it, and all manner of other kinds of dates, I set something up on eharmony. Some gal and I start chatting on there, and she suggests that we meet. So the first time i set up fell through, she went out of town, but wanted to reschedule. Skepticism increases. A week goes by, and we finally met IRL last night. After reading 64 out of 93 IRL dates ends up disaster, I was not expecting a whole lot. Turns out though she came as advertised...pretty, easy to talk to, smart, yadda yadda yadda. So, for you dating gurus, here's a question - Can a second date be an extension of the first? i.e. another dinner scenario? I was hoping to do something more fun for a second date, but I am out of town for a wedding this weekend, so it's gotta be during the work week. I was thinking i could maybe do another dinner, then something fun the following weekend..any ideas?

Also, chalk one up for teh eharmonizing...we got along, and she was very pretty...just icing on the cake
I am by no means a dating guru, but I see no reason why the 2nd date can't be similar to the first. That said, since it sounds like you've been talking a bit, maybe try doing something that she enjoys that isn't a full-day thing. For instance, if she has mentioned she loves scary movies, putt-putt, or something like that, you're talking a couple hours of time and you can make a point of saying "I remember you said you like doing (insert activity here), woud you like to get together and do that on (day of week)?" She'll appreciate that you actually remembered it was something you enjoyed and shows interest in who she is and what she likes. Something semi-active is better than a movie b/c you can still talk and get to know each other better while having fun at the same time.
