Parking

I am sure everyone here is pretty much used to the parking situation. I just started so it kinda sucks. I can find a spot in the garage if I am lucky, but after hearing some people talk about scratches and dings it is kinda scary.

Where do most of you park? I might just start parking way in the back near the cardinal house and walking (I need the exercise) all the way to showker.

where do you live?

the convo lot usually isn't that bad - i've had bad experiences with the parking garage. Sometimes i got lucky and found spots near the tunnel!

I used to park up across from the Festival. That was a few years ago though, so I don't know what the parking situation is now. But from there its about an 8 minute speed walk to Showker Confusedhock:

drive around the parking garage until a spot to your liking opens, i usually try and park where another car cant be beside me then i park half my car in the yellow stripes  Unless im running late then the first thing that opens is mine. The FEstival and Convo lots are always filled with ample spots

I always park in the parallel parking spots in the back of the C4 lot, not really that much longer of a walk if you cut up by Dukes, and you don't have to worry about anyone parking beside you Smile

LOL looks like my parking situation isnt too bad....I just have to walk across the bridge, plus I am between the staircases and a handicapped parking space that never gets opened, so no one can park next to me.

Do you guys have parking spots? If so you can park in that huge lot at rockingham. But it is a little walk....not as much so as the convo to showker though. Showker is like a 7 minute walk from rockingham

if the convo lots were full there is a small part (new extension as of last year) near the incinerator. It's pretty close to the front of ISAT, but it's a good walk from anywhere else.

Parking on Mason St. or another street across Cantrell is also another option. I parked there when i had to work at the Library and when i was running late to work or class. Be careful where you park though, they sometimes ticket (hburg tickets are a lot more than JMU tickets...Sad)
