As far as I know, John and I are in for all events this season (grid and announcing, respectively). We'll let you know if we run into any conflicts.
Looking forward to the '07 season!

Sweet, Jess is announcing! ;-) Think you can work up some naughty phone sex voice? I think John tried it once but it just wasn't the same.

Above, I have updated the worker list for March 31, April 1 at VIR Full Course. We have a couple of grid spaces, many flagger and trainee spaces. No timing spaces left.
If you want to flag, please let me know by March 10 so that we can let VIR know how many we will need. Thanks!

If you are going to go down and hang out that's cool. But its not a good idea to be out in a bucket unless you are doing the flagging training. Now if you are that's awesome. But that M3 hit the corner worker's station last weekend, and he ducked, but when they went to look at the station it was covered all in glass, and they found the M3 dude's bumper out on past the flagging station.

But hell yeah Goodspeed, if you want to come out and really work, I'll get you a fucking ride.

Confusedhock:

Well, if I don't die, I'll most likely be up for this. I would have to do the training I suppose, I'm not sure how hard flagging is or could be but do you train and flag in the same day? I just want to be able to get some good seats for the action really, and I've been meaning to get to VIR for a loooong time 8)

You train in the morning on saturday, and then go out on the station with other experienced corner workers the rest of the weekend. I believe after your second weekend "training" you start getting paid. The training weekends you get paid in worker credits. Anyway its a full weekend gig, so you can't just be in for a day. Buuutttt, if you work, you get free lunch at the track and free hotel room, which is gonna be hard to find for this event.

Oh and most of the time, the flaggers dont' get that kind of contact with the cars.

David, don't go down there and spectate, go down there and work. You will be bored out of your mind if you have nothing to do. If you are going to do the flagging training, you are going to be at your station for 4-5 hours at a time. So be prepared for that. Its a good experience, but it takes loads of attentiveness and special types of people to thoroughly enjoy it.

You will be in a bucket with someone experienced and very into flagging. Slim chance you will be flagging with DJ. You don't choose.

I can give people a ride if need be. I will be leaving later in the day friday from H-burg. I will have 3 seats I think, the van seats 7...but I think 5 would be the comfort level max. Van has DVD and PS2 to make the ride mo' beta. 8) Post or PM if you need a ride Goodspeed, DJ, or anyone else!
