Let it go on the record that I *totally* called this.
This is *exactly* what Toyota SHOULD be building. Big props to Hyundai.

A lot of Hyundai's product has been pretty sharp. I never thought I'd be living in a world where Honda/Toyota keep effing up while Hyundai/Nissan are cashing in.

big props on the numbers, but have any of you spent any real time in a tiburon? the last 2 generations... GIANT PIECES OF SHIT.
i'll give hyundai the nod on their build quality improving over the years, but i get the feeling that the tiburon is built somewhere else

shit.
this makes decisions much more difficult.

Still sounds like speculation to me, are those numbers legit? Interesting how the V6 numbers are in line with the current V8 Mustang numbers. Korean cars for the lose.

Edit: NM, the internet rumor mill says it will have a turbo option. Either way a V6 Coupe for $25k to $30k is the 350Z. The Z is mo' expensive but probably anywhere from 300 to 500 lbs less though (judging from the weight of the previous V6 Tiburon).

Obviously, but are those power numbers / engine combos legit? They mentioned everything from a turbocharged 4 banger to a V8 engine in it.

I find it funny that all of a sudden everyone's all up on Hyundai's nuts for bringing a car like this to market when one's already available with a proven (and great sounding!) engine and build quality. Just sayin'.

well, hoping that it's made like other Hyundais (I've never been in a Tiburon, but the others impress me), and I can ever figure out how to spell Hyundai without looking it up, I think the turbo 4 could be pretty cool!

Base MSRP for a 350Z is 27.9?
I mean, I see your point. And I <3 that Nissan does this. All I'm saying is that the more to the party, the better. And, I totally called it.

For real are V6s more cost effective or something? it would seem to me the market would be all over a High HP turbo car, then a silly over rated V6. Why can't more cars be like the 80s. I guess what it boils down to, is a turbo car is more maintenance and less MPG on Premium gas only.

I think it would be a sharp move to put both out there - one for the crowd that wants to modify (more flexibility in tuning with teh boost) and one with more power/torque for the 'average' joe that doesnt want to touch the motor? |
