NASA SP event coming up that I know several of us will be in attendance, working and spectating. Who all is going? Hopefully the track will be fixed/prepped in time, thoughts?

I'm going to the Nov event but will most likely miss this one.
Why do people just post what they are thinking? Without thinking.

Last I heard, the track was fixed.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

And then they put a bunch of sealer down in spots.
I dont know what is going on out there.
I'll be there doing my comp license eval and hopefully racing on Sun.
I have Apple work that Friday and photo work back home that Saturday. I can (hopefully) leave Saturday night or early Sunday AM and spectate on Sunday, but at this point it's up in the air for me.

In hpde 2 he'll still have an instructor, if he does happen to get signed off for solo, you'll need permission from Unk or Cobetto to ride with him.

I wouldn't be too worried though David, you'd probably find a 3 or 4 Suby that would give you a ride. Besides, getting rides in a 4 or XX car means you might be out in a GT3 Porsche or a ZR1 Vette (like me)
The track has been repaved: http://www.pcapotomac.org/Pictures

The track has not been re-paved. The line through 1-2, 3, 5, 6-7 has been re-paved and a small strip in 10 has been sealed.
Lap times in SM this past weekend were no faster in the dry than they were last month.
My car's record in SM lives on another month! woohoo!!!!!

I thought that was inferred. No one thought they were going to redo the whole track.

I thought they might re-pave the turns that were (getting) torn up and do all of it rather than an 8' strip. I will be out there tomorrow to see how it is since I haven't been on it yet.
