Okay so the BRR-SCCA Test and Tune is Saturday March 19th. This is an opportunity for all those upgrades/maintenance youve done in the season to work its magic, as well as shake off all those cobwebs of staying inside and drinking all winter. The test and tune format is a lot like a regular autocross, just with a few more runs and no counting for points.
The Championship Points #1 event is Sunday March 20th. This is wehere you get to talk shit and then hopfully live up to it!
Both of these are at Verona, and I will be doing both events to hopefully work on improving the setup on my car, and of course get some much needed seat time. The best thing of all, is it costs $35 for both days if your an SCCA member. Thats $17.50 a day hock: . And only $45 for both days if your not a member, still only $22.50, and that $10 can go towards an SCCA membership if you want one.
Sign up is here, you pay AT the event:

There's an all you can eat Steak dinner the 19th at Rex's dad's church. Everyone should do the Test n tune, then eat copious amounts of steak and then you'll be ready for Sunday's autox.

Just wondering...why? CDC is more expensive that day, has a smaller lot, and is an hour north? So a total of 6 hours travelling for autox in the weekend, when you could bring it down to 4 hours for the entire weekend AND save yourself money in registration and gas costs. (Dont get me wrong I do love CDC and will be doing some, hell I get 8 events free with them for winning last years drivers championship)
Julie,
How mcuh does it cost? Actually sounds like a good idea if it aint some cheesy buffet thing.

$13 bucks a ticket. All you can eat Steak, Salad, Baked Potato, and Dessert. The steak is cooked over hot coals on their bbq pit out back. The steaks will have marinated for about a week so they'll be good an tender. No this won't be like Ruth's Chris, but all proceeds go to the Orphanage in Haiti. Rex's dad is currently there, and should have some up to date info on the situation there, if anyone cares to know. I'll need a headcount so we can have tickets waiting for you at the door.
Thread Hijack Over.... Sorry guys.

Just an FYI: If you read the results after the last run group runs and see your name with a "t" beside it it means you've trophied (1,2,3,sometimes 4th) and you get an award of some sort if you stick around and help with course cleanup.
Unfortunately I've decided not to go to this event I Finally got the STi running 100% bone stock (after 2 weeks being on jackstands), so I dont want to take a long road trip + autox when Im 120 miles from home if something goes wrong. had to sort out a few issues in the past few days which I want/need to monitor for a while. should be a fun event considering the large amount of ppl I know are attending

I'm trying to get register on the Motorsportreg site and it's telling me the event is sold out for Saturday and both-day registering. Also I'm not an SCCA member yet, and have never autocrossed before, so I don't know if the "timed for points" event Sunday is a good place to start. Any suggestions?
Go ahead and do Sunday -- "timed for points" only matters if you care, hah. If you want to do both days (could be good since you are new) email Ray Schumin (rschumin AT comcast DOT net) and see if he can help you out. He's head registrar of the BRR-SCCA and can usually help people out if they ask nicely.
