'96 Porsche 911 turbo- Premier Shine
#1
Hello there everybody,
Put in a little under 15 hours into this 1996 Porsche 911 turbo focusing primarily on a full paint correction. The car is apart of the same collection as the GT2 RS, Cayenne turbo and Ferrari 360 I posted previously (check other threads!).

The interior was completed previously before so all 15 hours were focused solely on polishing and correction the heavy swirls and marring.

Befores:

Heavy wax build up present all over the entire vehicle

Visible damage just in plain view:

Due to time constraints I was concentrated on getting done at a reasonable time and only had time to snap a couple after pics,

All the smaller areas were hand polished and corrected and the same method was applied to rear bumper and the wail tail which took a little under two hours to complete!

Full IPA wipedown completed and Menzerna Power Lock was applied to cure for an hour before removal

Afters: the owner was ecstatic

993 Turbos are awesome. Maybe not as balls out and pure as a 4spd RWD 930, but when that thing hits boost... good shit.

Excellent work as always, you're a master of your craft sir.

beautiful. 993's are the pinnacle of their breed IMO. hell i wouldn't even need a turbo, a carrera would work just fine for me.

black paint can be a bitch, but when its done right and polished like that, its almost too perfect.

I've always had a really bad delusion about owning a '96 911 4S in Carrera White with the tan interior. I'm sure the AWD versions catch flak from purists, but I already have one RWD sports car from the '90s, and the 4S got a bunch of the turbo amenities like the wide fenders, which are important.

Also, terrorizing a neighborhood on a snowy Saturday on a set of Blizzaks would be indescribably fun. The dream becomes less realistic when i realize i could acquire an Evo or STi that would do the same thing with more amenities and less breaking for the same amount of money.

Scott- Although this paint looks black and certainly appears that way when out of the light...it actually has a rich brown metallic flake in it that turns it into a deep brown color....really interesting!
P- paint is generally soft and when it comes to darker Porsche paints they are so easy to work with- this one was painless to correct!

Thanks for the comments guys!

Fantastic work. I think we're all pretty much in agreement that the 993 is the most humpable 911 ever, and that there is a fine lookin' example

just noticed when i was looking back at the shot of the finished driver's fender. its really clear there. looks great, and for some reason 911s pull off brown pretty well (especially the 930-and-older cars)

Would love to work on your CTS, beautiful car! Weather sucks right now and is only going to get worse, come spring time we can work something out! No sense in putting in the hours or money when winter weather will beat the piss out of it (if we have a winter LOL)
