haha..I had no idea that apprently E-dating is so commonly accepted? I guess it's a bad sign that like 4 of you dudes here have chimed in on it, but no girls. I imagine that's what the ratios are like on the sites eh?

Another thought - have you expanded your "distance" range? Sometimes it's worth doing something long distanceish, especially if it's temporary. I've met a couple bad ass girls from richmond at various places (The galax fiddlers festival i went to a few months had more hot girls than ive seen at one place since i left JMU)..and they are definately worth going to see once in a while, to keep in touch, meet their friends, or who knows, maybe they're looking to move to where you are? Plus, even if you do get a chick close by, those girls will never know, so it doesnt matter if it takes you a while with them.

edit: also, church girls are fucking hot, usually less conservative than you think, and really nice..go for the preacher's daughter/youth minister/choir directors daughter.

Also, just for my perusing of e-harmony..they don't let you see other peoples pictures until you 'make a connection' or something, right? Do their 'formulas' have attraction built into them at all or what? Maybe i would have to sign up to really know i guess

Personally, I've tried the long distance thing several times and it's never worked out for me. If I'm going to be committed to a girl, I need to be able to see her more often than once every week or two weeks. I was dating a girl in northern MD for a while when I was living in VA... we got along great and if I lived closer I could have seen us staying together for a really long time, but the distance just shut it down. Now for occassional hookup buddies, that's a different story.... it's almost better for them to be in another state.

I did meet a girl from ECU at the Tech/ECU game who hit me up on FB and wanted me to come hang out... but I'm like meh, it's cheaper to find girls who want to hang out here

i also know more girls on eharmony.com and match.com than i do guys. Most of the girls i know that are on there to meet guys that aren't douchebags at the typical bars they go to and would like a little info before they meet them.

Correctomundo. A lot of the girls I know have a big thing against "meeting guys at bars" for various reasons from the fact that it's hard to have conversation to "guys are only out for one thing when they're at bars". Personally I think it's dumb, guys are always "out for one thing" but whatever.

Anyway from the woman's point of view it's a lot easier to screen through guys online than it is to sit at a bar and wait for guys to approach them, then have to spend time trying to get rid of the ones they don't want.

Well to be fair, a lot of those girls that complain about those types of guys and about not getting approached at bars are the same ones who are bitches to the ones that do come up or sit there with their girls and make it awkward when a guy comes up and tries to talk to them. No offense ladies, but if you want a guy to approach you at a bar, don't hang out with a group of more than 2.

I'm the exact same way, apparently I'm terrible at long distance relationships. I think I'm 0/4 at making them last longer than about a month and a half. Which is bad news for me because I'm currently seeing a girl who just moved to NYC.

I've actually had a little bit of trouble meeting girls that I like up here even though I'm in a college town. There seems to be three types of cute girls up here:
1. The obsessive, super intense overachiever who comes across as just a bit crazy at first, then much more crazy the better you get to know them.
2. The incredibly annoying rich girl who is in the school because her father donated $2M.
3. The smart, intelligent, and articulate girl who is incredibly cool and witty. These girls all have fiances or boyfriends of 3+ years.

Anyway, back to the topic of meeting girls, most of the girls I have met and have actually dated have been the friend of friends. It's much easier to be trusting of someone when one of your friends thinks highly of them.

Welp, I saw the makings of Twin going psycho on me so I had to cut her off today. We were exclusive fairly recently until now.

I invited her to a homemade dinner my roommate and I put together, she declined because she was going running and had to do stuff for work at home so I told her I'd call her later. My buddy is dating her identical twin, went over and told her that he thought she was at my house because he heard me on the deck with another girl (a married friend of ours came over for dinner). She wigged even after I told her it was a *married* friend of mine and got pissed when I asked her if she wanted to come hang out because "I didn't call her earlier RIGHT after dinner and ask her." ........

As we all know girls do not get less crazy the more you get involved with them and she refused to agree with me that what she said was a little sketchy. I don't want to hook up with total whores, but I need to stop wasting time with crazy girls who won't let me fuck them unless I'm in a relationship with them

I went on a few dates in college, but it never went beyond one date. After college I was living at home, and venturing into Arlington just seemed like too much effort to me. I was on eharmony.com and also I know, its wack, but catholicmatch.com. Hey when you have religion in common it helps out a lot. I met Andrea, through catholicmatch. Our first date was January 07' and we are getting married August 09', so yeah that is the route I went. I knew meeting any girls at a bar would never work out.

Good luck. But every girl I met in college and after I considered for marriage material, so I wasn't wasting my time.
