"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

So, thoughts from the 2nd date. HIbachi was an awesome idea for the entertainment factor, because we had a great time. As a bonus, at most of those places, you are sitting right beside the person.
Something to think about though - they definitely started cleaning up around us as we sat there talking, and that was awkward, so we kinda had to leave rushed. I should've had a secondary idea lined up, like getting coffee or something. Didn;t think that through.

Just going by where i've been:
Italian - Pasta Mia in Adams Morgan (the best Italian place i've eaten at in the US - they do not take reservations, must stand in-line and wait - it's worth the wait IMO) Brazillian Steakhouses - Chima (tysons corner) or Fogo De Chao (DC) Quiet Romantic (euro-style food) - Little Fountain Cafe (adams morgan) Seafood - The Chart House (downtown alexandria)

Ray's the Steaks' new location in Arlington allows them to take reservations now - I'd recommend that any day of the week. Easily one of, if not the, best steaks I've had

Indian food on a first date? Seriously? Do you want you both to be smelling like curry all night?
To be fair I'm biased because I hate indian food, but that's a little out there for a first date regardless imo.
