I need to borrow one.... prefer it for friday or weekend if you got it. Unless of course someone has a plasma cutter, but i doubt that.

Dont ask why Wink

You want me to see if I can get you a plasma cutter? You'd have to come get it and _maybe_ pay a rental fee.

Well, how big is a plasma cutter and what would be involved in moving it to use it?

I have never used one before, and I reckon i have a pretty high probability of losing a finger or three i'm a bit hesitant Wink

Plasma cutters are pretty darn simple. You just have to be steady, like welding, and observe the same percautions one would when welding. It is important to set it up correctly (heat and tip shape) and you'll be good to go. Wouldn't hurt to practice on some metal that isn't part of your car first ;-).

Hey chad, i'll buy you dinner if you bring it down here and do the cutting Wink With a plasma cutter it should only take about 15 minutes!

Welders Gloves, welders helmate, watching what's behind the cutting area, watching sparks, moving steadily, and not touchign it for a while until its cool, that sorta thing. Oh, and screaming while its on for effect, makes it more dramatic (plasma cutting is somewhat anticlamatic for how cool it is).

Nah, I already almost lost one a few years back and it still causes me some problems...... I'm a bit too careful with that stuff.

Well, I've got someone who will let us use one as long as we do it at his place. Do you have anyway to get the car up here?
