Some more info about my willingness to buy...

I might not have my Crossfire starting after Thanksgiving break, or, it will be going back home and staying in NY after winter break. I am not completely sure if I want a beater car, but having options to look at would be great. The $200 car sounds good...I will put this on my list. How many miles on the car? I would like to be at 150,000 (less is best). Great fuel economy is important too, as well as, once again, fully function clearcoat and a manual tranny. All wheel/4-wheel drive and trackability would be nice too, but i will definitely sacrifice trackability (autocross) for reliability and fuel economy.

The saturday night live skit comes to mind after reading this

Only e30s I know of now close to that price range are 1000-1500.

Your looking for some damn good criteria for 500 bucks. Expand it to 1000 and I Think youll like the results much better. Almost nothing at 500 is not going to need work.

Oh and Andy, I have asked you to send me details and pictures on that 240

DJ...alright, $1000 or somewhere near that price. Preferably cheaper though. I don't mind paying a little more for more reliability and lower miles on a vehicle.

My friends SHO - $600

89' Taurus SHO, 5 speed manual, 202k miles. Car starts, runs and drives great and has been completely reliable over the course of the past year since I bought it. Clean title and Carfax report, passed MD inspection April of this year. New radiator, inner / outer tie rod ends, battery, front motor mount, front swaybar end links, axles / CV joints. All fluids flushed beginning of this year. Car comes with a 2nd set of rims and tires for free.
Why do people just post what they are thinking? Without thinking.
